New Majority Ready ("we," "us") runs this website, newmajorityready.com. This page explains what information the site collects when you visit, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
The short version
- We count visits to the site with Google Analytics so we can see which articles people read. We do not count visitors in Europe, or anyone whose browser asks not to be tracked.
- We run no advertising on this site and we do not sell information about our visitors.
- The site has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comment sections. The only personal details we receive are the ones you choose to send us by email.
What the site collects
Visit information. When you open a page, Google Analytics records the page you viewed, the site that sent you here, the type of device and browser you use, and the general area you are visiting from, such as the city or country. It does not tell us your name or your email address.
Cookies. Google Analytics sets a small file called a cookie in the browser so it can tell a new visit from a returning one.
Visitors in Europe. The site is set up not to run Google Analytics for visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Browser privacy signals. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the site does not run Google Analytics for your visit.
Advertising features are switched off. We have turned off the Google Analytics settings that link visits to advertising profiles.
Videos. Some articles include YouTube videos, shown in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. In that mode YouTube holds back its cookies until you press play. Once you do, YouTube collects information under Google's privacy policy.
Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to answer you and to carry on the conversation you started.
Server records. The company that hosts this site keeps standard technical records of requests, such as the time of a visit and the address of the device that made it. These records are used to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To see which pages and articles are read, and to decide what to write next.
- To keep the site working and secure.
- To reply to people who contact us.
Who else is involved
We share information only with the companies that help us run the site, and only so they can do that work:
- Google, for Google Analytics and for YouTube videos. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Our website host, which stores the site and its technical records.
We do not sell or rent visitor information to anyone.
How long it is kept
Google Analytics keeps visit information for a limited period set in our account, after which it is deleted automatically. We keep email conversations for as long as they are useful to the working relationship, and delete them on request.
Your choices
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The site works the same without them.
- Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from counting your visits: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address below. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your information, and we will honor them.
Children
This site is written for business readers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this page
If the site starts collecting information in a new way, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
